Brooklyn, Iowa: John Wayne's Boyhood Home
Born in another Iowa town in 1907, grew up in California, but the Duke lived here a few years in between (1909, 1913-14). No more home, but a historical marker, a 2-D statue of the actor as cowboy, and a rock engraved "Howdy Pilgrim." Unveiled in 2016.

Boyhood Home of John Wayne Historical Site
A historical marker and metal sculpture stand in front of boyhood home of John Wayne, where he lived in 1909, and again from 1913-14. I just stopped by and took a picture, but I believe they also do tours.

No tours yet, just the marker and flat metal cowboy -- but it's a good tribute, and the "Howdy Pilgrim" rock is a friendly touch. John Wayne's birthplace is a separate attraction a hundred miles west in Winterset -- his pre-Hollywood name was Marion Robert Morrison.
