The Haunted Theater
The Haunted Theater stands out in downtown Mackinac Island. It is meant to look like an old haunted mansion, with a big Gothic chandelier hanging out front. The Haunted Theater is actually more of a museum than a theater, housing the rare and the ugly of the Mackinac Straits. The museum is filled with creepy, colorful, people-sized statues of creatures once thought to roam the island. The freaky looking things were all created by the owner/tour guide, who tells the funniest stories about them (one was meant to look like Dolly Parton). This is not a scary attraction -- you can totally bring little kids.
There's also a small fiberglass man outside the museum. He doesn't really fit into the museum, so the owner put him outside.
