Honk the Moose wandered into Biwabik and decided to spend the winter there in 1935. The town erected a life-size fiberglass moose in his honor, part of its 1980s makeover into a Bavarian village.

Honk the Moose is a life-size statue of a moose in the Scandinavian town of Biwabik, in a city park right on the main drag in town. The moose is depicted in a children's story dating to 1935 about a real-life moose that once took up winter residence in Biwabik.
